death, taxes, love and my🙏prayer for you
Some maintain that the only sure things are death and taxes. However, God's love is Eternal. It supercedes the reach of death and taxes.
News from Anna’s Corner

This last week, I felt an urgency to finish my taxes. Don’t you love categorizing your expenses? (No…) But I have a free account with the Wave app that allows me to do it quickly. And yes, I should keep that up weekly or monthly. I’m trying a new thing with the newsletter. Leave me a comment (or reply to the email) to let me know your thoughts.
The second book in the Morro Bay Mysteries is nearly finished. There are less than four chapters left! Here is the link to Book 1, The Rocky Start.
The second book in the children’s chapter books series, The Adventures of Charlie and Ginger, is moving quickly. Have you ever heard the tell-tale heart? How about the cat and crow version? No? Neither had I. Imagine my surprise! Here is the first book in the series, The Case of the Missing Fur.

My take on Kindle Unlimited and why I use it. I know it seems like I harp on this a lot, but so many books are available on Kindle Unlimited. And in any genre. You may find new favorite authors, an inspiring devotional, and more. All of this for the price of two books a month.

Devotional
This week, things happened while I worked on filing taxes. I ran out of medications I take daily, and it took actual work to get them refilled. I went a couple of days without them. My husband works hours on retirement paperwork, applying for a consultant part-time position, and as well as trying to stay up-to-date on his regular work.
Meanwhile, my daughter’s husband lost his grandma. I only met her once at her house. She was a delight to talk to. Her paintings filled the walls of her home. And her dog leaned. So adorable. And now, she is gone. I pray for the family as they grieve their loss.
On a different subject, my husband and I traveled down to see my new grandson. I got to hold him while hubby and daughter walked their dog. The precious little boy slept soundly, wiggling occasionally.
It made me long for my other grandson, so I sent him something I hope he enjoys. (I checked with his mom, who is my other daughter, to make sure.) And he and I are both looking forward to some time together in a few weeks. I need to clean the house…
My heart hurts for the many people losing their jobs across the country. Everyone questions their safety, income, and how this year will change things.
Isaiah 35 speaks of God’s people making their way home. It is an easy path, and they sing their way to the place of right relation to God. I think about the joy I feel when I put aside my worries and fears, setting them at the feet of Jesus. And I praise Him for all He has done for me. I have to praise Him. The joy in my heart demands it. And the sadness and despair evaporate into thin air.
So, I pray for my daughter’s extended family so they can find God’s joy in their hearts. And for the sadness and despair to evaporate into thin air as they remember their grandma.
I also pray that God pulls me from that place within where I go to hide from the world. And He fills me with His word to bring hope and encouragement to hurting people. God will replace their sadness and despair with His joy.

Verse of the Week and My Prayer for You
Isaiah 35:9-10
There’ll be no lions lying in wait, no predators or dangers in sight. Only those made right with God will journey there. Those whom the Eternal One has recalled from a punishing exile, they will go along so easily.
They will walk this path, Come waltzing to Zion, singing their way to that place of right relation to God. An aura of joy never-ending will attend them; they will clasp gladness and joy to their hearts, While sadness and despair evaporate into thin air.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for my reader. Lord God, I call out to You on her behalf. Help her to let go of worry and fear. You protect her from predators and dangers. Forgive her of her sins and give her refuge with You.
Thank You, Lord, for filling her heart with gladness and joy. Her sadness and despair will evaporate in the light of Your glory. Bring songs of praise to her ears and her lips. She walks in right relation to You, O Eternal One.
Lord, You are our Great and Mighty King. You fight for us every day. We trust in You. We rest in You, knowing You are faithful. Help us to be grateful and praise Your name, Almighty God. Be glorified through her. In Jesus's name, Amen.

Have a blessed week!
Thank you for reading!
Our life out here in Southern California runs counter to the weather across the country most of the time. This week, we are in the 70s and may hit 80 one day in the near future. I’m still praying for more rain. I know ya’ll would be happy to ship what you have out west. It’s easy to tell when it gets warm in the house. Felix stretches out on his back, almost atop me and Kitt. (Kitt is the dark blob above the white.)
