Psalm 19 spoke to me in several ways. The universe that God created speaks about him daily.
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.
The psalmist paints a picture of creation in all its splendor. Showing the sun as a bridegroom, sharing his warmth with all below him. It sounds like an enchanted kingdom, with pomp and grandeur.
Then he arrives at a beautiful phrase that reminds me of a song. “The law of the Lord is perfect.”
And what he says next, inspired this:
But then, a serious note. I do love the words of the Lord God. And I seek to follow Him with all my heart, mind, soul, and body. But sometimes I fail. I may not even know that I have failed.
Then I ask God to search my heart and cleanse me from all sin, even the hidden sins, even when I am unaware of them. God forgives me and gives me the strength to follow His ways every day.
I say with the psalmist, let my words and actions be pleasing to you, O Lord, that I may dwell in Your presence forever.

Verse of the Week and My Prayer for You
Psalm 19
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge. They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.
Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world. In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun. It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth.
The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes. The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The decrees of the Lord are firm, and all of them are righteous.
They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb. By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward. But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults. Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me. Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression.
May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Prayer

Thank You, Lord, that she trusts in You. You are her refuge from this life. Her words and thoughts are pleasing in Your sight, Lord. You are her Rock and Redeemer.
Lord, You are our Great and Mighty King. You fight for us every day. We trust in You. We rest in You, knowing You are faithful. Help us to be grateful and praise Your name, Almighty God. Be glorified through her. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
