happy holidays and my🙏prayer for you
Remembering family times and looking forward to writing again.
After a whirlwind of family fun, today was a day of rest. Officially, our holiday schedule has added a new birthday. Dec 22, our anniversary, Dec 23, birthday, Dec 24, Christmas Eve, Dec 25, Christmas Day, Dec 29, birthday, Dec 31, New Year’s Eve. It’s a busy time of year.
While I didn’t get to spend as much time as I would like with family, my introverted self was grateful for low-key celebrations. Since my vacation time is speeding away, now my heart turns to my favorite activity, planning to write.
This year will begin with Book 2 of Morro Bay Mysteries, Book 11 of Emily’s Cat Mysteries, more Charlie books and a new storybook series, I think, about weather. Does that sound boring? All the amateur meteorologists yell, no! Actually, it stars my three kitties as they navigate the different weather patterns in my neck of the woods.
From the low 30s to the 110s, or from dry as a desert to pouring rain, our weather does actually change some. And being mostly indoor cats (they are allowed in the backyard - supervised), they aren’t sure about how it all works. Rain is scarce except when it’s not. Snow is almost unheard of. Fire Danger means high winds and the chimes on the porch get loud. When it gets above 90, they want me to turn on the air conditioner. And when it’s below 68, where’s the heater!
I will add some volumes to my mother’s snippets devotional series and begin work on the Bible study my mother and grandmother wrote together. I hope to publish another Daily Prayer Guides volume which means four new topics to write.
I also want to finish Book 2 in Matthews’s Matchmakers and Book 1 in the Realtor series. I have one or two time travel novels begun as well as a few other surprises lurking down the road.
But, one more immediate trip to hang with my grandson and daughter in a couple of days. It will be too short but very sweet and fun.

Psalm 17: 13-15
13 Rise up and confront them, O Eternal One! Make them pay. By Your sword, set me free from my wicked enemies! 14 May Your rescue find me here. By Your hand, save me from my enemies, Eternal One. Save me from men whose hopes are rooted in this world.
But as for those You cherish, may they feast on all You have set aside for them; may their children never be in need; may they have enough so their children will inherit their wealth.
15 But as for me, my hope is to see Your face. When I am vindicated, I will look upon the holy face of God, and when I awake, the longing of my soul will be satisfied in the glow of Your presence.
Lord, thank You for my reader. Thank You that by Your sword, You protect her. In Jesus’s name, Your Spirit saves her from evil plans. Because she cherishes You, she feasts on all You have set aside for her. Her children will never be in need. She has enough.
Thank You, Lord God, that her hope is to see Your face. In that day she will look upon Your holy face. When she awakens, the longing of her soul is satisfied in the glow of Your presence.
Lord, You are our Great and Mighty King. You fight for us every day. We trust in You. We rest in You, knowing You are faithful. Help us to be grateful and praise Your name, Almighty God. Be glorified through her. In Jesus's name, Amen.
