When everything conspires to keep you from sleeping in after falling asleep at 5am.
There is another heat wave here, and there is high fire danger. The outdoors is unwelcoming. However, our electricity cost is not that high with our solar panels. So indoors is relatively comfortable.
I’m exploring the chat on Substack to see how I want to use it. Notes are shorter posts I may start using—more on this next week.

Titus 2:11-14
11 We have cause to celebrate because the grace of God has appeared, offering the gift of salvation to all people. 12 Grace arrives with its own instruction: run away from anything that leads us away from God; abandon the lusts and passions of this world; live life now in this age with awareness and self-control, doing the right thing and keeping yourselves holy. 13 Watch for His return; expect the blessed hope we all will share when our great God and Savior, Jesus the Anointed, appears again. 14 He gave His body for our sakes and will not only break us free from the chains of wickedness, but He will also prepare a community uncorrupted by the world that He would call His own—people who are passionate about doing the right thing.
Lord, thank You for my reader. Thank You for sharing Your grace and salvation with her. Help her to run away from anything that leads away from You. She will run into Your arms, where You comfort and protect her.
You have broken her free from the chains of this world. She is Your child. You prepare her to be uncorrupted by this world. She is passionate about doing the right thing.
Lord, You are our Great and Mighty King. You fight for us every day. We trust in You. We rest in You, knowing You are faithful. Help us to be grateful and praise Your name, Almighty God. Be glorified through her. In Jesus's name, Amen.
