my simple prayers and my š prayer for you
The Eternal God hears my simple prayers
Psalm 6 turned out to be a hard psalm to read. No gems jumped out at me. But I think that was Godās point. Sometimes the sense of depression creeps back. And I wonder if God is punishing me for not believing.
O Eternal One, donāt punish me in Your anger or harshly correct me. Show me grace, Eternal God. I am completely undone. Bring me back together, Eternal One. Mend my shattered bones. My soul is drowning in darkness. How long can You, the Eternal, let things go on like this?
Even as he complains, the psalmist asks for grace. He knows that the Eternal God brings me back together and mends my shattered bones. Lord, help me to complain with hope in my words. I know You show me grace daily.
Come back, Eternal One, and lead me to Your saving light. Rescue me because I know You are truly compassionate. Iām alive for a reasonāI canāt worship You if Iām dead. If Iām six feet under, how can I thank You?
Iām exhausted. I cannot even speak, my voice fading as sighs. Every day ends in the same placeālying in bed, covered in tears, my pillow wet with sorrow. My eyes burn, devoured with grief; they grow weak as I constantly watch for my enemies.
Thank You, Lord, for leading me to Your saving light. You rescue me because You are truly compassionate. Of course, the psalmist does mention that he canāt worship God if heās dead. Sometimes I feel like that, exhausted, every day ending the same way.
But God doesnāt leave me there. I know I can turn to the Eternal One. I know He saves me daily.
All who are evil, stay away from me because the Eternal hears my voice, listens as I cry. The Eternal God hears my simple prayers; He receives my request. All who seek to destroy me will be humiliated; they will turn away and suddenly crumble in shame.
All who are evil should stay away from me. You heard my voice, Eternal One, You listened as I cried. You heard my simple prayers. You received my request.
Hold on, the psalmist says, God has my back. Just hold on for a few hours. Give your trust to God and believe that He hears you, even on the days that arenāt great.

Whispers of Grace
A Christian Romance (Westward Hearts Book 1)
In the quiet of the West, grace speaks loudest.
Isaac Sutton carries the heavy burden of a tarnished name and a ranch steeped in the shadows of his fatherās failures. Driven by duty and a deep-seated need to protect his brothers and their newfound family of orphans, heās sworn off complicated feelings - especially those sparked by his childrenās teacher.
Enter Louisa Miller, grace and sunshine personified. Driven by compassion and a call to service, Louisa takes the harrowing trek across the country to become the teacher for the motley passel of abandoned children housed on the rugged Sutton ranch. She expects challenges, but not the commanding presence of the handsome, fiercely protective cowboy who becomes her unexpected boss.
A little mischief from the children and a few bumps in the road of misunderstanding soon give way to mutual respect. As Louisaās unwavering faith and gentle spirit mend the childrenās broken hearts, Isaac finds his own defenses crumbling beneath her light. But when a dangerous threat to their fragile peace appears, it will take more than courage. It will take both their hands clasped in prayer and their unwavering trust in the Lord to fight for the future they never meant to find, but desperately hope to keep.
