The Big Picture
Jesus came from the Father God. While on earth, He showed us who the Father God is. So we have only to ask, “What would Jesus do?” This phrase has lost its meaning in today’s society. What would Jesus do in these circumstances? What about his most famous sermon?
In Matthew 5, Jesus begins with the beatitudes, “Blessed are…” He then lays out the principles of the Kingdom of God. He reveals the heart of God behind the Ten Commandments, showing how God sees our hearts. These words reveal the spiritual and inner nature of His commands. Ephesians 1:15-17
17 God of our Lord Jesus the Anointed, Father of Glory: I call out to You on behalf of Your people. Give them minds ready to receive wisdom and revelation so they will truly know You. 18 Open the eyes of their hearts, and let the light of Your truth flood in. Shine Your light on the hope You are calling them to embrace. Reveal to them the glorious riches You are preparing as their inheritance. 19 Let them see the full extent of Your power that is at work in those of us who believe, and may it be done according to Your might and power.
Lord, thank You for my reader. Lord God, I call out to You on her behalf. Give her a mind ready to receive Your wisdom and revelation. Thank You, Lord, that she can honestly know You. Open her heart and let the light of Your truth flood in.
Thank You, Lord God, for shining Your light on the hope You call her to embrace. Reveal to her the glorious riches You are preparing for her. Thank You, Lord God, that she can see the full extent of Your power at work in her.
Lord, You are our Great and Mighty King. You fight for us every day. We trust in You. We rest in You, knowing You are faithful. Help us to be grateful and praise Your name, Almighty God. Be glorified through her. In Jesus's name, Amen.
