packing, sorting, and my🙏prayer for you
Our memories become legacies as we obey the Eternal One.
News from Anna’s Corner
One week ago, we laid my mother to rest. I’ve spent several days exploring the files, boxes, and closets. Starting today, I’m packing to ship.
My mom wrote “Reflections on Retirement” and posted a new one weekly on her website, Emily’s Snippets. There, you will find her final blog post, “Journey to Heaven.” My brother Paul and I finished the blog for her. She didn’t have time. Her passing was unexpected by us all, but it was definitely on her mind.
Below are a few books I have published for my mom over the years. To see more, check out Mom’s book page on my website. You can find Mom’s obituary here.
Grief, Relief, and Love
Let me tell you a secret. My mom hated cats. And she was irritated that I named my Cozy Cat Mystery series, Emily’s Cat Mysteries, after her. It made us giggle.
I’m currently writing book 11 of the series, “Myra and the Kittens: He Provides While They Sleep.” Emily and her cats experience many of the same emotions as we do. They live through the pandemic, the shutdown, civil unrest, betrayal, and more. While they are sometimes filled with relief, they also show love to their neighbors.
On the Rocks, Book 2 of Morro Bay Mysteries (a cozy mystery set in a small coastal town with talking animals), is available now! A different Cozy Mystery series for you to enjoy!

Book Study, Verse of the Week, and My Prayer for You
Anna’s Book Study Group (linked to the group page) is moving into Chapter 4. We are reading Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby. I’ve posted the introduction to the book and my thoughts on it. Chapters One to Three are available now. If you're interested in joining me, please comment on the posts. Chapter 4 is coming soon.
Proverbs 3:7-9
And don’t think you can decide on your own what is right and what is wrong. Respect the Eternal; turn and run from evil. If you depend on Him, your body and mind will be free from the strain of a sinful life, will experience healing and health, and will be strengthened at their core. Pay tribute to the Eternal in all of your affairs. Honor Him with the best of what you make.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for my reader. Lord God, thank You that she knows she can’t decide right and wrong on her own. She respects You. She turns and runs from evil. And because she does depend on You, her body and mind are free from the strain of a sinful life. She experiences healing and health and is strengthened at her core.
She praises You, the Eternal One, in all her affairs. She honors You with the best she has. Thank You, Lord, that she loves You and follows You daily.
Lord, You are our Great and Mighty King. You fight for us every day. We trust in You. We rest in You, knowing You are faithful. Help us to be grateful and praise Your name, Almighty God. Be glorified through her. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Have a blessed week! Thank you for reading!
Felix has the right idea. The best way to heal is through rest. Exhausted? Sleep. Too hot? Sleep with your feet to the skies, stretch out. Cold? Snuggle next to another warm body and sleep. Hungry? Eat whatever is close. Bored? Chase your siblings. But mostly? Sleep.

Hi. I'm so grateful for your encouragement in today's email. I was wondering which translation you referenced for the Proverbs 3:7-9 verses. I really appreciated the deeper meaning communicated in the translation you used and was hoping to find it for future reference. Thanks so much!
